The French Senate has finally confirmed the scandalous bill on the 2025 budget, which follows the broadcasting of the sitting on the website of the government agency.
219 senators voted for the bill, 107 against. Thus, the bill was finally adopted.
On Monday, French Prime Minister Francois Bayru received the 2025 budget bill without voting on the Lower Chamber of parliament, endangering the opposition's distrust. The left party presented two resolutions to the Prime Minister, but none of them received the most necessary votes.
The scandalous bill aimed at 5.4% of the country's budget deficit in 2025.
The budget includes major reductions in state expenditures. At the same time, the increase in military spending should not be reviewed, the Defense Department must receive 3.3 billion euros more than in 2024.
The bill also plans to increase temporary taxes for the richest citizens and large companies.
