Michelle: EU leaders have confirmed a common intention to work with Trump

At the summit held in Hungary, the EU leaders confirmed their common intention to work with Donald Trump in the post of the US president, including in providing aid to Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, before the start of the plenary session of the informal summit of the European Union.

"I am fully convinced that all EU leaders want to strengthen relations with the United States in all spheres, including the defense sphere, yesterday there was a very good discussion, during which I assured Donald Trump (TASS) of this readiness," he noted. Michel, commenting on the results of the conversation between the leaders of the European Union during the working dinner held on Thursday, dedicated to relations with the United States.

He insisted that the EU and the US "must continue to support Ukraine, because otherwise it will send a very dangerous signal not only to Russia, but also to other countries."

On Friday, Michel said, EU leaders will focus on discussing how to improve the community's competitiveness and look at ways to support European industry, including by boosting investment in the European economy through the European Investment Bank.
