Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan met

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Azerbaijani President Aliyev in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, ermenihaber reports, where he was supposed to participate in the 11th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Organization of Turkic States. Minister of Affairs Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov. The Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidency reports that the parties discussed Turkish-Azerbaijani bilateral relations, as well as regional and global issues.

During the meeting, Erdogan said that relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan continue to develop in all areas. In his opinion, bilateral relations will be brought to a perfect level with the economic and strategic steps to be taken. Erdogan insisted that the "Trans-Caspian East-West Middle Corridor" initiative is important in this context. Erdogan also said that important decisions are expected to be made at the COP29 climate summit to be held in Azerbaijan and expressed the wish that the summit would be favorable in advance.
