"Roscosmos" published a photo of the Dumbbell Nebula, which is the first planetary nebula discovered by mankind.
"The dumbell nebula. a cloud of gas ejected by a dying star. The Dumbbell Nebula is the first planetary nebula discovered by mankind. it was discovered by French astronomer Charles Messier in 1764. Light from the nebula takes about 1,360 years to reach Earth, and its typical shape is like a dumbbell or a space apple," the state corporation said in a statement attached to a photo of the nebula.
The photo was taken with the TAL-200K telescope. The total exposure time was 10 hours.
