On October 21, an unusual incident occurred in the Armavir region. Officers from the Vagharshapat Division of the Community Police Main Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, while implementing received operational information and conducting operational-investigative measures, found out that on the same day, between 14:15 and 15:00, a military science teacher, a 50-year-old resident of Armavir region, at a school in one of the villages of Armavir region, slapped a 14-year-old 9th-grade student several times during class for disrupting the lesson, causing physical pain.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, following explanatory work carried out by the officers of the Vagharshapat Police Division, both the teacher and the student appeared at the Vagharshapat Police Division.
Documents regarding the incident have been drawn up at the Vagharshapat Police Division and have been forwarded to the Vagharshapat investigative division of the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
