British Foreign Minister David Lammy, who a few years ago sharply criticized former US President Donald Trump, congratulated the politician on his victory in the US presidential elections on his X social network page.
"I congratulate Donald Trump on his victory. We look forward to working with you and James David Vance in the coming years," wrote the UK foreign minister. In 2018, Lammy, who was then an MP, gave an interview to Time magazine about Trump's visit to the UK.
He accused the American of hatred and sociopathy, as well as sympathizing with neo-Nazis. In addition, he called Trump a "serious threat" to the world order.
