US President Donald Trump said that he did not underestimate Iran's willingness to continue the conflict. He made this statement in an interview with Fox News.
"I did not underestimate anything. We hit them incredibly hard," Trump said, answering the journalist's question whether he underestimated Iran's "pain threshold".
According to the American president, the USA deliberately refrained from destroying some of Iran's infrastructures. "We left their bridges. We have left their power generation capacity. We could destroy all that in two days," he said. Trump also claimed that Washington refrained from completely shutting down Iran's oil infrastructure. "We have left Kharg Island. Because if you hit it, they will lose some of their oil," the US president added.
