During the meeting of EU defense ministers in Brussels, Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas expressed his opposition to the initiative to create a common EU army. This was announced by the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania.
"Let's not waste energy talking about the European army and other formats copying the NATO alliance," he said.
"We should focus on strengthening and preparing the military capabilities of all NATO countries and at the same time the whole of Europe. This will allow us to better coordinate and effectively use limited resources," the minister added.
