Iran will not allow the transit of American weapons through the Strait of Hormuz to bases in the Middle East, said Mohammad Akraminia, the representative of the Iranian army.
"From now on, we will not allow American weapons to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and reach regional bases," a military official said, according to the Iranian Press TV channel.
He also noted that the western part of Hormuz is under the command of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the eastern part is controlled by the Iranian army, but both the army and the IRGC operate in a coordinated manner.
