An artificial intelligence study predicted Harris' election victory

A study conducted in the United States using artificial intelligence (AI) technology has shown that the Democratic candidate, US Vice President Kamala Harris, has a slightly higher chance of winning the election than her rival, former President Donald Trump, writesSemaphore:the portal.

According to Semafor, the company uses census data and other demographic indicators to create thousands of AI-powered avatars (bots) of voters, each with hundreds of personality traits. Next, the bots research information and news that real voters might have read, after which they are asked about their preferences.

The company recreated the electorate of key US states where voting could be decisive for presidential candidates and invited virtual "voters" to cast their ballots. The bots had access to the news until midnight on Sunday, so they knew about Donald Trump's Pennsylvania rally and Kamala Harris' rally in Michigan.
