"Fact" daily writes:
In recent days, CP leader Nikol Pashinyan made a whole series of statements, which various commentators defined as confessions or self-confessions.
Here are some of Nikol Pashinyan's problematic statements. A) "As Prime Minister, I renounce the agenda of restoration of historical justice." B) "We made a conscious sacrifice in 2020. and as a result we gained statehood and independence. Before this, we were not the authors of all those sacrifices, they took us to the shore and sacrificed us for their interests.
For the first time, we sacrificed for our state, for our interests, for our future, for our identity."
4: Paused C) "...I want to record that the claims about fighting etc. are, to put it mildly, untrue...
It's a lie, nothing like that happened, they ran away, robbed. I didn't say and I don't say that the people of Artsakh fled, I say that the so-called elite of Karabakh fled." Let's start with the last one. Nikol Pashinyan, as it is evident from his statements and the quoted passages, entered into the frenzy of active pre-election campaigning, he recirculates on the public agenda his and his propagandists' shameful and false thesis that the Armenians of Artsakh did not fight, according to which, neither in 2020, nor especially in 2023, they ran away, this, that.
And yes, the fact that he doesn't mean the people of Artsakh at all is shattered by the disgusting episode that happened in the subway the other day, which we have referred to. in an emotional, angry state, a person says what he thinks, what is in his subconscious.
But emotional perceptions, no matter how natural they are, let's put aside and talk with dry facts. The first is Nikol Pashinyan, who on October 6, 2022 in Prague, with the "patronage" of Macron and Charles Michel, at the meeting with Erdoğan and Aliyev, denied Artsakh, specifically, Artsakh recognized Azerbaijani history.
And what is the most terrible, Pashinyan thus legitimized the actions of ethnic cleansing by Azerbaijan against the Armenians of Artsakh. And it was after Pashinyan's denial that the complete blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan began. For about 9 months, Azerbaijan subjected Artsakh to a total siege, to about 140 thousand Artsakh Armenians.
Pashinyan's government did not take any practical steps to break the blockade. Second, after Pashinyan recognized Artsakh as an Azerbaijani territory, the Armenian Defense Army turned from a self-defense force in terms of status into an "armed group" from the point of view of international law, which was another formal basis for Azerbaijan to "justify" the aggression against the Armenians of Artsakh. Thirdly, in addition to the blockade, Azerbaijan concentrated around 10 times more military and military equipment along the contact line around Artsakh.
And in 2023 On September 19, at the very beginning of Aliyev's aggression against the Armenians of Artsakh, Nikol Pashinyan openly declared that Armenia will not interfere in any way, in his words, "will not be drawn into the war". I would like to say that Aliyev is the Armenians of Artsakh, do whatever you want with them. But, despite all that, the Armed Forces of Artsakh showed armed resistance.
Fact 1: The President of the Central Committee officially announced that as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression on September 19-20, 2023, Nagorno-Karabakh gave 223 victims, 25 of whom are civilians, and there are 5 minors among the victims. Fact 2: Azerbaijan has officially admitted that it has 192 victims, as well as 511 wounded.
Later, the Azerbaijani authorities reported 198 victims. Question: If the people of Artsakh did not fight and fled, or, let our fallen brothers forgive us, they "robbered", as Pashinyan claims, then why did the 198 Azerbaijani militants die, not to mention the 511 wounded?
So, if there was a looter from the Azerbaijani aggression on Artsakh, the number 1 looter from the political point of view is Nikol Pashinyan, who openly made it clear to the enemy that he will not do anything to protect the Armenians of Artsakh. Moreover, the same Nikol Pashinyan put his own Foreign Minister in an absurd situation in those very days, who was announcing the implementation of ethnic cleansing against the Armenians of Artsakh at the session of the UN Security Council.
And the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Nikol Pashinyan, responded with a statement made an hour or two after that, that there is no danger to the civilian population of Artsakh... About the elite. It is the leadership of Artsakh.
Pashinyan's statement about their alleged escape does not stand up to even the mildest criticism for the obvious reason that Artsakh's military-political leadership - former presidents, state ministers, high-ranking military officers, state figures - remained in Artsakh until the end, were illegally captured or kidnapped by Azerbaijani special services, were convicted in a judicial farce and are being held in Baku prisons. Yes, it is possible that some leaders from Artsakh reached the territory of Armenia in different situations and circumstances. And what?
Are they making generalizations based on the example of a few? As for more than 120,000 of our compatriots who were left behind, what should they do? What was Pashinyan's wish or wish, that they all end up in Azeri captivity and prisons indiscriminately? And maybe Pashinyan's "soul was glorified" that, in the conditions of the impossibility of organized resistance, the Azeri thug from September 21 subjected the Armenians of Artsakh to mass slaughter?
Pashinyan himself, with his "politics", had put Artsakh in such a hopeless situation that whether or not there was a change of leadership, a change of government or not, the consequence would be a disaster. This is the main thing. Not that a few days before the disaster, some president in Artsakh changed. Pashinyan may try again to put the responsibility of this disaster in the pocket of others. But it is impossible to erase his guilt and responsibility for what happened. Especially after he himself declares that the losing war of 2020 was a "conscious sacrifice".
It means that Nikol Pashinyan consciously and deliberately did everything to make war happen. Moreover, he did everything to "sacrifice" or sacrifice Artsakh in that war. Because, you see, it was Artsakh that prevented Pashinyan and "judges" like him from being independent and happy, from having multimillion-dollar bonuses and luxurious mortgaged apartments. Yes, and not according to Pashinyan, but "we got a state".
Where did we live until then? Good or bad, we have a state restarted in 1991, so what if Pashinyan hates that state and considers that the history of Armenia started after he became the prime minister in 2018? And there will still be an opportunity to address "historical justice" (and not only).
It should only be noted that giving up one's own history directly means infantilization. And specifically, Pashinyan's statements foreshadow an abyss into which the state, nationality, and Armenian identity will collapse.
