The more Nikol Pashinyan fails in the declared war against the Armenian Apostolic Church, the more they invent new methods to destroy the Church. Accordingly, according to the information we have, the illegal repressions of the current authorities may gain new momentum in the near future. Our CP sources say that Pashinyan wants to initiate a criminal case against the Catholicos of All Armenians and try to detain him before the Episcopal meeting to be held in Austria, that is, within the next few days.
The day before yesterday, Nikol Pashinyan even revealed on the air of the Public Television Company (it doesn't matter whether he willed it or not) how he imagines the new persecutions against the Armenian Apostolic Church. "Today we have information that is being verified, including in the formats of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, shadow money is entering the Republic of Armenia to be used for political purposes in Armenia," he said.
The authorities acting against the Armenian Apostolic Church are trying to fight with several episodes. And, in particular, realizing that the statements about celibacy and political neutrality, the papers of Ezras Srbazan, allegedly being a KGB agent, did not receive a particularly serious response among the public, Pashinyan has now started to discredit the Armenian Apostolic Church in another way, declaring that the donations transferred to the Church were used for political purposes in Armenia. Although he admits that the information is in the process of being verified, it is natural that the law enforcement system and the prosecutor's office will carry out Pashinyan's illegal instructions, using the entire information base of the Armenian Apostolic Church's donations received from abroad in different years.
According to our source, they are currently making certain adjustments, obtaining information from banks, trying to connect the Church and those transferring these funds with foreign special services, especially Russian services, and in this way create grounds for initiating criminal proceedings against the Catholicos and a number of high-ranking clergymen, with the aim of detaining them before the Episcopal Assembly. Pashinyan himself understands that this will have serious and heavy consequences for him and his government, but he has no other option to disrupt the Episcopal Assembly.
