The US has invited the Philippines to join the Peace Council

US President Donald Trump has invited the Philippines to join the Peace Council created by him, which deals with settlement issues in the Gaza Strip. The Ambassador of the Philippines in Washington, Jose Manuel Romualdez, informed about it.

"President Trump sent me a personal letter addressed to the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos Jr., inviting him to join the Peace Council," the diplomat told reporters. NewsWatch Plus Philippines TV channel quotes his words.

Romualdez added that Manila will make a decision on joining the Council in the coming weeks. The authorities are currently studying what contribution the Philippines can make to the organization's activities.
