The US armed forces have more than 450 Tomahawk cruise missiles in their arsenal in the Middle East, which can be used for a possible strike against Iran. This was reported by the NBC News channel, referring to the data of the American official and the open sources of the Pentagon.
According to the data, these missiles are located on US warships in the region and can be used to strike against the Islamic Republic, if the US president approves the decision to carry out a military operation against Tehran.
According to the official, the crew of the aircraft carrier strike group USS Abraham Lincoln, which arrived in the Middle East last week, is currently only moving to a position from which it can be used for an attack against Iran.
At the same time, according to two representatives of the US administration, about 10 other US warships, as well as aviation squadrons and F-15 and F-35 fighters, are already on the ground.
