"Nagorno Karabakh. "Armenian heritage is endangered" photo exhibition

Speaker of the House of Representatives of Canada Greg Fergus and Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Anahit Harutyunyan jointly organized "Nagorno Karabakh. "Armenian heritage is endangered" photo exhibition. According to Armenpress, the Canadian Embassy in Armenia informs that the works of Canadian-Armenian photographer Hrayr "Baze" Khachatryan were presented in the exhibition, his "Artsakh. from the book "through the eyes of a photographer".
In his opening speech, the Ambassador of Armenia thanked the speaker and other colleagues for their effective cooperation. Ambassador Harutyunyan emphasized that currently Azerbaijan is destroying all traces of the presence of indigenous Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, destroying, appropriating and desecrating the Armenian cultural and religious heritage of Nagorno-Karabakh.
In that context, the ambassador drew parallels with Azerbaijan's systematic policy of destroying almost 99 percent of the Armenian historical and cultural heritage of Nakhichevan. Emphasizing the importance of preserving the Armenian cultural heritage of Nagorno-Karabakh, he attached great importance to the international community's immediate efforts and responsibility in this direction. Speaker Fergus mentioned the inadmissibility of destruction and desecration of centuries-old Armenian heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh. He emphasized the importance of the fight to prevent such actions, as these monuments are part of the universal heritage.
The exhibition was also attended by members of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Canadian Parliament, including the Canada-Armenia Friendship Group, the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Quebec, Canada, as well as other officials and guests.
