Elon Musk's American company SpaceX has canceled access fees for its Starlink infrastructure in Iran due to internet disruptions during protests, Bloomberg reported, citing its source.
According to him, the information about free entry has not been confirmed by the company yet, because it is not public.
This is not the first time Musk has used Starlink as a soft power tool. The agency notes that previously free Internet access was provided to Ukrainians, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the international internet monitoring service NetBlocks, Internet access in Iran is restricted for more than 96 hours.
On January 9, Iran's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced that it was taking steps to restore Internet services restricted by security agencies.
