Following the European Union, Switzerland has imposed sanctions on five individuals and four legal entities, as well as about 40 ships from Russia, the Swiss government announced.
"On January 12, 2026, the Ministry of Economy made changes to the 8th, 14th, 15b and 33rd annexes of the decision. As a result, five individuals and four legal entities, as well as 41 vessels, were added to the applications," the statement said.
The decision will take effect on January 13 at 11:00 PM local time.
