Maduro's son turned to his father in tears

Nicolás Maduro Guerra, the son of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, publicly appealed to his father after his arrest by the United States. It was reported by the British Daily Mail, noting that the speech was emotional and was accompanied by tears.

Maduro Guerra spoke for the first time about his father's arrest in Venezuela's National Assembly in Caracas, where deputies were sworn in for a new term until 2031. "Dad, you have made us all strong people. We do our duty until you return. The homeland is in good hands, papa, and soon we will hug each other again here in Venezuela," he declared, not hiding his excitement. He also emphasized that coming to terms with the kidnapping of heads of state means that no country in the world is safe anymore.

According to him, Venezuela is the target today, but tomorrow any state that refuses to submit to external pressures may suffer a similar fate. Earlier, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry demanded the immediate release of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, declaring that US actions violate the foundations of international law.
