An alarming situation has arisen in Venezuela, where the United States is seeking to depose the legally elected president. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Valery Gerasimov, during a briefing for foreign military attachés, TASS reports.

"The situation in Latin America is developing against the backdrop of the United States' attempt to achieve unconditional dominance in the region. The most worrisome situation has arisen around Venezuela, where Washington has set a goal to depose the legally elected president of the country," he emphasized.
