According to preliminary data, the four siblings of 3-year-old Tigran, who was strangled by his father, were transferred to the round-the-clock care center of the "Armenian Aid Fund" foundation. The eldest of the children is 12 years old, the youngest is 5.Panorama.am:Mira Antonyan, the head of the Children's Protection Program of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, said that the children are currently in a stressful situation.
"Regardless of everything, they changed the environment. It is a stop stage. They are in the process of adapting. For now, we leave it alone, no question, no investigative work is carried out. The children should calm down a bit, adapt, rest, and then we will start the actual professional work," said M. Antonyan.
According to him, there are no traces of violence on the children.
"Rather, they are traces of carelessness. The children are from a poor family, it can be seen that neither the food nor the care was of such high quality. It can be felt from the appearance and condition of the children, but I will not rush to draw any conclusions, we still do not have the full picture," said the head of the Children's Protection Program of the Ukrainian Children's Fund.
There is currently no ban on their mother visiting the children.
"If the mother suddenly could not come and visit the children due to lack of financial means, we will take the children ourselves, until there are no contraindications. We were not told anything about the ban," he said.
How long the children will stay at the center is not clear at the moment.
"For now, we have to work with the children, until the anxiety, the direct impact of the trauma is alleviated a little, the relocation itself is a stress, besides, thousands of people have gone to their homes recently. They are in shock from all these events. A family that did not even have a guest, so many people came and went at once, it is clear that it is an unusual situation for them," said the project leader.
Did the children understand what happened in their family?
"We don't ask them those questions now, it will be difficult for me to say anything about it. Now is a period of pause, we need to rest the children and then work. All that work will be structured on the basis of their needs, the children will gradually show the problems, depending on that, the work will be organized in the direction of their mitigation. At the moment, I can't say anything specific," he said.
