The constellation CE2XZW2 may collide with Earth

The constellation CE2XZW2 discovered on Wednesday is likely to collide with the Earth, Nikolai Zheleznov, a senior researcher at the Institute of Applied Astronomy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, told RIA Novosti.

"The nominal orbit is 3000 kilometers from the center of the Earth. This means it will collide. However, we must understand that this is a certain probability of a collision, albeit a high one," Zheleznov said.

He also noted that there is not yet enough data to determine when the collision could occur, including the possibility that it could occur today.
