The winter draft of 2026 started today in the Baird community. The first group of conscripts from the Berd community to complete the composition of the RA Armed Forces left for compulsory military service. Rev. Aram Mirzoyan, the spiritual pastor of the city of Berd and neighboring villages, raised the Lord's prayer, and then sent his words of blessing and best wishes to the conscripts.
Community leader Astghik Hakobyan wished the conscripts a peaceful, trouble-free service and a happy return. "Dear parents, on behalf of the community, I thank you for raising patriotic sons. Dear conscripts, today it is your turn to undertake the sacred task of protecting the homeland.
I am sure that you will carry it out with dignity, because the blood of a brave Tavushets man runs through your veins. Dear boys, I am asking you to be alert, attentive, responsible, caring towards each other and the motherland.
