Foods promoting healthy aging have been named


Flying foods rich in flavonoids can reduce weakness, mobility problems, anxiety and depression development. This conclusion came from Australia, Ireland and the United States, scientists. The results of the study were published in "American Clinical Food" (AJCN).

Flavonoids are natural compounds that meet berries, vegetables, apples, citrus fruits, coffee and tea. According to scientists, they not only contribute to longevity, but also help maintain health during old age.

A study conducted with the participation of almost 90,000 people over the age of 24 showed that women with the highest accepts of flavonoids had a 15% lower risk and developing physical weakness and 12%, mobility disorders and mental disorders. Men have noticed a less expressed connection to improving physical health, but the risk of mental health problems has decreased by 15% in case of a diet rich in flavonoids.

"Flavonoids contribute to the reduction of inflammation, protection of blood vessels and the preservation of muscle mass, which are all important to age," said Eddin Kesside, a professor at Queen University of Ireland. For women, according to scientists, can be associated with methodological differences, not biological peculiarities.

The researchers also calculated that the increase in the number of foiled foods containing flavonoids per day can increase the risk of negative effects of aging by about 6-11% and men by about 15% of men.
