The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they are carrying out a series of strikes against Iranian government infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz. "IDF forces launched a series of large-scale strikes against (Iranian government) infrastructure in Tehran, Shiraz and Tabriz," the IDF press service said in a statement.
On February 28, the US and Israel began striking targets in Iran, including Tehran, with reports of damage and civilian casualties. Iran retaliates against Israeli territory, as well as US military targets in the Middle East.
Washington and Tel Aviv explained the start of the military operation as a pre-emptive strike and perceived threats from Tehran regarding its nuclear program. However, they are now no longer hiding their desire to see a change of power in Iran.
