Sergei and Kristina Druzhinin met at the service. He works as a rescuer for the search and rescue team of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region. She is an employee of the department's press service.
They decided to get married a year after they met. The climbers carefully prepared for the ascent, studying the weather and terrain. In compliance with all safety rules, they exchanged rings right at the crater of the volcano at an altitude of 2741 meters.
