A tripartite meeting of transport ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia will take place in Moscow

On January 28, a tripartite meeting of the transport ministers of Azerbaijan, Iran and Russia will take place in Moscow.

As reported by the Iranian media, this was announced by the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran, Farzana Sadig, during the 16th meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation between Baku and Tehran.

According to him, the parties aim to increase transportation through the North-South transport corridor to 15 million tons.

"I hope that at the meeting to be held in Moscow on January 28, all three countries will reach appropriate agreements regarding the development of transit activities in the North-South corridor," Sadig added.

He noted that last year the trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan increased by 20% and amounted to 580 million dollars.
