Investigators were unable to search the administration of the South Korean president

The administration of the President of the Republic of Korea did not allow the investigators to conduct a search in their territories in the case of the rebellion related to the cases of martial law on December 3-4. The anti-corruption investigation department was informed about this regarding high-ranking officials.

"On January 22, the department tried to search the office of the president and his residence, but the office of the president did not allow the search around 3:00 p.m., considering that the hearings of the Special Investigative Committee were stopped at around 4:50 p.m. performance," the department informed.

South Korea's Criminal Code states that a search in an area protected by the State Secrets Act requires the consent of the relevant authority. The administration did not give permission.
On January 20, the police made an unsuccessful attempt to search the "secret house" of the president. On December 27, the search efforts there also failed.

On December 11, the police arrived at the administration to conduct a search. However, the presidential security service, citing laws and precedents, did not allow searches in areas protected by state or military secrets.
