Trump has again included Cuba in the list of countries sponsoring terrorism

US President Donald Trump on Monday again included Cuba in the list of states that sponsor terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the White House.
Thus, the order of his predecessor, Joe Biden, to remove the country from this list was in force for only one week.

On January 14, Biden removed Cuba from the list of states sponsoring terrorism. He also suspended part of the Helms-Burton Act, thereby ending the ability of US citizens to sue potentially seized property in Cuba in US courts.

Since his inauguration on Monday, Trump has rescinded 78 measures taken by the previous administration, including Biden's decision on the status of Cuba a week ago.

In December 2014, the then president of the United States, Barack Obama, admitted that Washington's previous policy towards Havana was not working and announced steps to normalize bilateral relations and ease sanctions. In 2015, the Obama administration announced the removal of Cuba from the US list of sponsors of terrorism.
