India and Russia agree on the dates of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to New Delhi, where the traditional annual Russian-Indian summit will be held in 2025. The official representative of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaiswal, announced this in a briefing.
"As for the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, yes, this year the annual summit will be held in India," he reminded.
"The dates of the visit are being agreed through diplomatic channels," Jaiswal said.
On November 19, 2024, the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov announced that Putin will visit India, and Moscow and New Delhi will begin preparations for the trip. He reminded that in 2024 the Prime Minister of India visited the Russian Federation twice.
Modi paid a two-day visit to Moscow in July 2024, during which the 22nd Russian-Indian summit was held. In October, he visited Kazan to participate in the BRICS summit.
