It was decided to open both the Armenian Embassy in Hungary and the Hungarian Embassy in Armenia this year.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Paruyr Hovhannisyan mentioned this today, January 16, at the final forum entitled "Promotion of Armenia-EU strategic partnership based on the experience of the Visegrad Quartet" organized by the Armenian Institute of International and Security Affairs.
"We think there is great potential there, and Hungary's presidency in the EU Council was a proof of our cooperation. It is even more symbolic in terms of organizing this EU Council conference and the visit of the Visegrad Foundation during the Polish Presidency.
We are almost finalizing the negotiations with the EU on our new leadership agenda and will soon organize a relevant meeting with the political community in the coming weeks to present those results. Along with that, contacts have already been established with the new EU leadership.
"Recently, there was a telephone conversation with EU Council President Koshta and Prime Minister Pashinyan, where relevant cooperation issues were discussed," he said.
