A cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip is now closer than ever before, and a final agreement by the Palestinian radical Hamas movement is likely to happen in the coming hours or days.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken made such a statement while speaking at the Atlantic Council in Washington.
"Everything is correct in terms of the agreements. Now we are waiting for the final signal from Hamas regarding the agreement.
It can come at any time. in the next hours, in the next days," said the head of the American foreign policy department.
