A number of historical and cultural objects have received the status of monuments

At the fifth session of the expert commission of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia, 15 historical and cultural structures located in the city of Yerevan and in different marzes of the republic received the status of monuments. This is reported by KGSMN.

The building at 50 Mashtots Ave., Kentron administrative district of Yerevan (former "Nairi" cinema building, 1952-1954), M. The building of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the ASSR (1948) at 18 Baghramyan Avenue was awarded the status of newly discovered monuments of local significance. The residential building at 7 Tigran Metsi avenue, Vanadzor city, Lori marz ("Chinese bookstore building", 1954) and the "Palanduzants" residential house at 2 Zoravar Andranik street (2nd half of XIX century), Vayots Dzor have also received the status of local monuments. The burial ground of Hartagiugh village of Lori region (III-I millennium BC), XV-XVII centuries. the tombstone (Khoyatapan), Nor Geghi-1 open-air station (Lower Paleolithic) of Nor Geghi, Kotayk marz, two khachkars (10-12th centuries) in Kapan town, Syunik marz, the khachkar in Aparadzor village and the village site of Chiva village, Vayots Dzor marz "Vardanes" " (10-15th centuries), the cemetery located on its territory (7th-14th centuries), the khachkar (10-11th centuries) and the monument (7th century) received the status of monuments of republican significance.

"Tsaghkavank" village of Tegehnik village, Kotayk marz, VII-XVII centuries were also discussed. (stat. index: 6.32.3), Karenis monastery complex of Karenis village (Monastery of the Apostles Matevos and Andrew, 6-7th centuries, state index: 6.37.4), bell tower-chapel of Halidzor village, Syunik marz, 1989. (stat. index: 8.54.3), Monastery complex Harants Desert (Syunyats Great Desert), 1608-1613. (state index: 8.54.7), Tatev village monastery complex of Tatev Great Desert (2nd half of XVII century - XVIII century, state index: 8.97, projects of protection zones for 30 other monuments.

All the projects considered acceptable, according to the established procedure, will be sent to the heads of communities and state bodies of territorial administration for approval, after which they will be approved by the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
