"Fact" daily writes:
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports presented the project "On establishing a support program for private theaters in Armenia" for public discussion.
With the implementation of the project, it is proposed to regulate the activities of private theaters and theater groups in Armenia, creating a favorable and equal competitive environment for them.
Beneficiaries of the support program for private theaters in Armenia are legal entities and individual entrepreneurs operating in the Republic of Armenia and carrying out innovative and experimental theater activities not created by the state or communities.
The project proposes to provide support to private theaters.
This support can be in the form of providing both financial and theatrical infrastructure: free stage spaces, rehearsal spaces and other components.
Beneficiaries of the program can also participate in capacity building programs implemented by the state, competitive grants, participate in state events, become participants in the "Subscription Program", etc.
The decision regulates the deadlines for applying to the program, the list of submitted documents.
Beneficiaries of the program can receive support once a year. For this purpose, they must submit an appropriate application to the authorized body, the Ministry of CGMS.
One of the important and necessary conditions for receiving state support is the program presented by the theater organization, which must clearly state the schedule of the theater group and/or private theater, non-financial/target indicators: the number of annual performances, audience, analytical articles by theater critics, participation in international festivals. etc.
It is planned to implement the project in 2025.
Next year, the financing of the project can be carried out within the funds allocated to the Ministry of Education and Culture, without causing an increase in budget costs, and in 2026. these costs will be included in the Ministry's medium-term expenditure plan.
