Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to visit France on Monday where he will discuss the situation in Ukraine with French President Emmanuel Macron.
As Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov specified earlier, the prospects for continuing talks in the Normandy format would be discussed among other things.

According to U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker, the representatives of the United States, Germany and France will hold another round of consultations on the Normandy format next week. He also confirmed that he kept in touch with the European partners and the next round of consultations should take place next week.

On August 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin agreed on a possible meeting of the Normandy Four leaders.

The last meeting in the Normandy format took place in Paris on July 13 between the foreign ministers’ advisers. They reached agreement on an indefinite ceasefire from July 21. However, it did not last long. On August 6, the Russian occupation troops killed four Ukrainian troops near Pavlopil, Donetsk region.
