Kyiv city recorded 1,023 new coronavirus cases on October 19, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page.
Since the start of the pandemic, the total number of confirmed cases in the capital has reached 246,506, he wrote.

Among people who have contracted COVID-19 over the course of the past day are 563 women aged 18-95 years, 354 men aged 18-93 years, 61 girls aged between four months and 17 years, and 45 boys aged between two months and 17 years.

Twenty-nine lethal cases related to COVID-19 were recorded in Kyiv on October 19 (5,741 in total).

At the same time, 262 people have recovered over the course of the past day. In total, 225,096 Kyiv residents have overcome the disease.

As reported, Ukraine recorded 18,912 new COVID-19 cases on October 19.
