Ukraine recorded 11,809 new coronavirus cases on October 1, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.
"Ukraine recorded 11,809 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 (including 1,104 children and 235 health workers) on October 1, 2021," the ministry wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports

On October 1, Ukraine recorded 2,692 COVID-19 hospitalizations, 203 deaths related to the disease, and 3,469 recoveries.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,447,222 people in Ukraine have contracted COVID-19, 2,261,924 have recovered and 56,649 have died. The total number of conducted PCR tests has reached 12,922,388.

On October 1, the highest number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases was recorded Kharkiv region (1,159), Lviv region (1,102), Dnipropetrovsk region (965), Odesa region (762), and Zaporizhzhia region (692).
