The transit of 1 ton of drugs was prevented in Russia

FSB employees confiscated one ton of cocaine, which was being transported through Russia to one of the European Union countries. This was reported to TASS by the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia.

"The supply of Latin American cocaine to European Union countries, transiting through Russia, has been suspended. Two citizens of one of the Balkan countries were arrested in the territory of the Leningrad region, who loaded the car's trunk with cocaine, with the aim of transporting it to one of the countries of the European Union," the Central Committee reported.

In addition, a few hours before the arrest, the foreigners tried to sell 20 kg of cocaine in Russia, for which they opened a cache in the forest zone of the Gatchina region of the Leningrad region and gave its coordinates to the Russian drug dealers. An Estonian citizen and two Russian citizens were arrested while removing drugs from the vault.

"The total weight of seized cocaine was more than 1 ton. Its wholesale value on the black market is more than 3.5 billion rubles," the FSB said.
