"It is with deep sadness that we inform you that Nonna Arseni Simonyan, a candidate of medical sciences, a devotee of the healthcare sector, has passed away.
Nonna Arseni Simonyan was born in 1938. In Yerevan: After finishing school, in 1955 was admitted to the medical faculty of YerBI. In 1962, as a senior laboratory assistant, he was admitted to the Department of Pathological Anatomy of the Faculty of Medical Education in Yerevan, from where he was sent to the Moscow Institute of General Pathology and Pathanatomy for an internship, where he defended his PhD thesis.
1967 Nonna Simonyan was admitted to the clinical residency, specializing in pathological anatomy, being the first clinical resident of the Yerevan Institute of Physician Improvement (now the National Institute of Health). After completing the specialization, he continued to work at the Department of Pathological Anatomy.
1981 from to 2016 N. Simonyan held the positions of the institute's scientific secretary, academic vice-rector, improvement, dean of surgical faculties, deputy director, academic advisor.
During his 57 working years, N. Simonyan devoted himself to the education and professional growth of young personnel.
N.Simonyan's long and impeccable work has been highly appreciated by both the Government and the Institute: Letter of Thanks from RA Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan, Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Health on the occasion of his 70th birthday, Gold Medal of the Institute on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Institute of Health, etc.
The bright memory of Nonna Simonyan will remain forever in the hearts of her relatives, colleagues and those who knew her.
The funeral of Nonna Simonyan will take place on March 18, from 17:00 to 20:00, at the funeral hall at Nubarashen 46 (Erebuni administrative district).
