The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Kaya Kalas, has announced that she will not run for the position of the President of Estonia, stating that this position is not for her, according to the Estonian broadcaster ERR. "Kalas has ruled out running for the post of the President of Estonia, stating that this post is not for him," the message states.
Kalas also said that sometimes he thinks about what it would be like if he was not the head of European diplomacy. "I travel to different countries, and then the idea comes to me that I can become an ambassador in one of them, but my husband says that the work of an ambassador is too quiet for you," she added.
The presidential elections in Estonia will be held in September of this year.
