"An important victory in the case of Aishat Beymuradova, a Chechen girl killed in Armenia"writingis lawyer Narek Aloyan.
"In the case of Ayshat Beymuradova's murder, referring to the case law of the European Court, I petitioned the investigator to recognize her friend as a victim (a victim instead of a deceased victim) and provide him with the body of the deceased for organizing the funeral.
The investigator rejected my petition.
I appealed the investigator's refusal to the prosecutor.
The prosecutor rejected my complaint.
Continuing the appeal, I appealed to the court of first instance.
As a result, after examining my complaint, the criminal court of the first instance of Yerevan city decided to fully satisfy it.
Unfortunately, the investigative body hastened to organize Ayshat Beymuradova's funeral with state funds 3 hours before the publication of the court act...
The haste of the investigative body also led to a number of shortcomings in the organization of the funeral.
In this case, different opinions and evaluations were voiced by various international and local political chairs, as well as by various human rights defenders, which I do not want to comment on.
As a lawyer handling this case, I want to make only one record. the experience once again showed that legal issues should be resolved in the professional-legal domain.
Wanting to remain in the apolitical, professional-legal domain, I don't want to comment on the behavior of the investigative body or the prosecutor's office in this specific case, in the same way I don't want to comment on the reaction of the Russian "Dozhd" TV channel to this case, because the practical, apolitical, professional-legal answer to all questions is the court's decision to satisfy my complaint."
