We do not change historical facts at all. History is what happened. We must teach our children to analyze and look at different historical realities from different perspectives, to have historical thinking.
This is our important task.
History is the same as always. This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science and Culture Zhanna Andreasyan in a conversation with journalists, referring to the recent public dissatisfaction with history textbooks. To the question of how the issue of the Genocide, the Armenian Cause, and the Artsakh wars are presented in the textbooks, she responded:
“How will the professional issue be presented? Textbooks are written by specialists and specialists decide how to present them.
Our demand is that our child has the opportunity to get acquainted with various historical events, incidents, and phenomena, analyze them, draw different conclusions, and understand the causes, consequences, and patterns.
All the incidents and events you have pointed out are very important for us, so that our children can draw conclusions and be able to correctly assess our current situation."
