A state of emergency has been declared on the Santorin Island of Greece, as a result of strong seismic activity in the Aegean Sea. This was reported by Ekathimerini website.
It is noted that the continued underground shocks in the area have increased the risk of landslides and rocks.
According to the Greek civil defense bodies, the state of emergency will operate until March 1. Only on the night of February 7, six high-magnitude earthquakes were registered near Santorini, after which a magnitude of 5.2 magnets took place in the southern Amoridos Island.
Seismic activity also affects local residents who have to be always alert. In a conversation with Amna, the mayor of Anafi, Pusos said that the shocks have a difficult psychological effect on humans.
