In September, Prime Minister of Georgia I. Kobakhidze announced an extremely important initiative.
Given that foreign donors have threatened to stop funding Georgian non-governmental organizations if they register with the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and comply with the "Foreign Influence Transparency Law", the authorities have decided to create a STATE FUND for financing NGOs.
The first grant programs will begin to be financed in 2025. from January.
The programs will be financed for the implementation of tasks determined in accordance with the interests of the Georgian people. Attention, those NGOs that do good work and serve the interests of the Georgian people WILL RECEIVE TWICE MORE FUNDING FROM THE STATE BUDGET than they have received so far from foreign donors.
This initiative of the Georgian authorities was not only an adequate response to Western donors, but also an imperative of the day, on the way to building a truly national and strong state.
