On April 3, a tragic incident took place in Shirak region. Around 18:00, the newborn son of Armine Margaryan, a resident of Shirak marz, died in the maternity hospital of Artik city.
"Margaryan's husband told that there were no problems during the entire pregnancy. According to him, all examinations and analyzes were within normal limits, and there was no mention of the need for cesarean section.
"This was our third child. The previous two were born naturally. Today, around 12:30, we brought my wife to Artik's maternity hospital. Until 18:00 they assured us that everything is normal, the baby's heartbeat can be heard. However, in the end, gynecologist Karine Chopikyan, who admitted the birth, informed that the newborn died due to complications, he noted.
According to the father, the situation raises many questions.
"I went to the doctor on duty. he said that he was not informed in any way about the complications. If there were such problems, why didn't they perform a caesarean section on time? We were also told that even when the baby's head came out, he was alive. In that case, how did it happen that he died..."
The parents have already contacted the police and demand that the case be thoroughly investigated. They claim that the death of their child could have been prevented and accuse the doctor of negligence.
