French Foreign Ministry: Ukrainian Armed Forces can use long-range missiles on Russian territory

Paris granted Ukrainian troops the right to use French long-range missiles in attacks on Russian territory “for the purpose of self-defense.”

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrault said this in an interview with the BBC. He did not specify whether they had already been used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. “We do not rule out any options,” Barrot said, answering a question from reporters whether this could mean the participation of French troops in hostilities. The Foreign Minister also added that Western allies should not limit their support for Ukraine.

Earlier, Barrot, who arrived in Brussels, reminded reporters that Paris had not yet changed its position regarding the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes with long-range weapons on Russian territory.
