According to Clause 1 of Article 66 of the Law "On Military Service and the Status of Servicemen", servicemen enjoy the right to travel free of charge on all types of urban passenger transport, regardless of the form of ownership (except for taxis), in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Yerevan Mayor's spokesman Hayk Kostanyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"I also inform you that on November 19, at the regular meeting of the Council of Elders, a project will be proposed, according to which family members (widows, minor children, parents) of persons who died during the military operations of the Republic of Armenia or Artsakh, or who went missing while performing official duties, or who are missing or declared dead in the case of intra-community regular bus transportation services provided by the operator with 100% community participation in the Yerevan community, the transportation fee for the routes should be set free of charge," he wrote.
