Since the beginning of the conflict, the European Union has provided Ukraine with more than 220 billion euros in aid. Kaya Kalas, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, announced this during her speech in the European Parliament.
According to him, the EU and its member states give Ukraine more than 78 billion euros in military support provided.
Kalas also noted that Kiev is planned 60 billion of the 90 billion euro loan it is planned to go to military aid.
At the end of last year, the EU leaders could not reach an agreement on using the frozen assets of Russia to provide loans to Ukraine. Instead, it was decided to provide a loan of 90 billion euros to Kyiv in 2026-2027.
