State of emergency in Amsterdam. dozens of protesters were arrested

Police officers in the center of Amsterdam arrested several dozen people who took part in an unauthorized demonstration organized in support of Palestine, writes Algemeen Dagblad newspaper, referring to the information of law enforcement officers. A state of emergency has been declared in the city until the morning of Thursday, November 14, therefore, during this time, it is forbidden to hold any rally.

According to the newspaper, about a hundred people came to Dam Square in Amsterdam despite the police ban. After several warnings, the law enforcement officers started to take the protesters out of the square. The detained protesters were taken away in buses. According to Algemeen Dagblad correspondent, the atmosphere in the square "did not look very tense, but friendly".
