The Houthis of Yemen have announced that they have struck a military base in the south of Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and drones.
Yahya Sari, the military representative of the movement, said that the target of the attack was the Ash-Sharaura base. "Weapon depots and management and control centers directing the aggression against our country and people" were hit, Sari X wrote on the social network.
He did not specify when the attack was carried out.
The military representative of the Houthis warned Saudi Arabia that the continuation of military operations against Yemen will lead to new strikes, which will be more extensive and intense and will hit the facilities deeper in the territory of Saudi Arabia.
Since 2014, the Houthis have controlled much of the north and west of Yemen, including the capital, Sana'a. The movement has repeatedly carried out missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabian facilities and other targets in the region.
