NASA astronaut Chris Williams and Russian Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev have returned to Earth after spending 241 days on the International Space Station. The "Soyuz MS-28" spacecraft carrying the crew separated from the International Space Station on the morning of July 26, and 3 hours and 24 minutes later it successfully landed in the steppes of Kazakhstan.
The spacecraft was sent to the International Space Station on November 27, 2025. This mission was the first for Williams and Mikaev, and the second for Kud-Sverchkov. The latter increased the total time spent in space to 426 days and 9 minutes. During the mission, 3 astronauts made 3856 revolutions around the Earth and traveled more than 164 million kilometers.
